Job Description:

The Interactive Designer creates and delivers a range of digital work from social media ads to programmatic display ads. It involves working closely with creatives, copywriters and our digital team. This role requires someone who innately understands the digital landscape and who can think creatively while turning out work quickly. You should be versatile and multifaceted, with a deep passion for solving problems with both creativity and an eye for detail. Having a team-oriented mentality and understanding of how your role and work plays into the broader integrated experience.

Candidate Requirements:

As an Interactive Designer you’ll also be responsible for:

  • Animating concepts
  • Working from pure design-led projects, creating a range of cross-platform design work
  • Working collaboratively with creatives, copywriters and the digital team to deliver digital output of the highest quality
  • Staying on track with emerging digital trends and culture, attending events and engaging with the wider digital creative community
  • Articulating and presenting creative ideas and concepts internally
  • An exceptional online portfolio showcasing experience in designing digital work including social media ads, programmatic display ads and more. 
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (this could include After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)
  • Knowledge/understanding of HTML/HTML5 and CSS can be beneficial but is not always essential
  • Proficiency in working in Google Web Designer
  • Proven understanding of typography, layout, color and grid structures
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong ability to stay focused and produce high-quality work in a fast paced, digital environment

Required Work Experience:

Years of experience are not a prerequisite. Instead, it is all about your creative and design capability and demonstrable experience. The types and sizes of projects you’ve worked on, your knowledge of emerging trends and the fundamentals of graphic design are key.

Position: Junior Copywriter
Job Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: Junior level – DOE

Job description:

The Junior Copywriter works in the creative department under the direct supervision of the copywriter and creative director. They will collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and write copy for TJA’s full roster of clients in various media, including but not limited to: print, broadcast (radio + television), web/digital, social media, outdoor, etc. 

In addition, the junior copywriter works closely with the administrative, media and public relations departments to produce internal documentation, compelling social media messaging, award nominations and additional materials upon request. This position requires extensive market research, understanding of all clients and brainstorming to produce copy that clearly and creatively communicates each brand’s unique message and voice, resulting in a strong return on investment (ROI) and increased customer conversions.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit copy, for both clients and internal TJA projects
  • Work closely with the TJA creative, digital and social media teams to help create and conceptualize ideas and campaigns
  • Incorporate client and team feedback into copy, while maintaining consistency and objectives
  • Assist in copy creation for RFP responses and proposals
  • Proofread all final copy prior to release

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of specific copywriting experience (please be prepared to provide samples of your work)
  • Passion for writing, willingness to learn and ability to easily adapt to quickly changing priorities
  • Proficiency in iOS products and software
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires a fast learner and flexible thinker
  • In-depth knowledge of AP style 
  • Understanding of various writing styles for different mediums and how/when to apply them
  • Experience working with a creative team or in an agency environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire and ability to learn processes and protocols of the agency
  • Works well in a team environment (are you cool?)
  • No ego
