Just like any other Tuesday night, I sat down with a glass of rosé after dinner and began perusing my personal social media accounts. While I was on Twitter, I received a notification about making the 500 under 500 list. My first thought…”What kind of nonsense is this?”
If you have yet to read this AdWeek article, you need to get on it. They critique an industry that puts an importance on lists…30 under 30, 40 under 40, Top 100 Creatives, Best of This, Best of That…the lists of lists could go on and on.
I’m still not sure if I should be flattered or offended that I made the 500 under 500 list, I mean…I’m ranked above Steve Jobs, so clearly it’s very credible. And, I have no idea how those funny guys at McCann found me, but found me they did, so I am obviously doing something very right or very wrong. But at least I’m being noticed.
